We are delighted to welcome Robin Wilkinson to our ICCBBA family as our Deputy Technical Director. With over 17 years in the blood banking industry, specifically in blood banking and laboratory software development, Robin brings a wealth of knowledge, analysis skills, and leadership to our team. Her background includes implementation of the ISBT 128 Standard in a blood center and several successful submissions for regulatory clearance of software as a medical device.
Robin will play a key role at ICCBBA, as she collaborates with our Technical Director and Technical Team to enhance patient safety on a global scale by maintaining, developing, and promoting the ISBT 128 Standard. Her dedication to our mission and wealth of experience makes her a valuable addition as we work towards global adoption of the ISBT 128 Standard.

About ICCBBA:
ICCBBA is the international standards organization responsible for the management and development of the ISBT 128 Standard.
The acronym ISBT was originally derived from the important role played by the International Society of Blood Transfusion in the development of the standard. Today it expands as Information Standard for Blood and Transplant. The number 128 reflects the 128 characters of the ISO/IEC 646 7-bit character set.
The acronym ICCBBA is derived from the International Council for Commonality in Blood Banking Automation.
