Hybrid (Hybrid Remote – 3 days in the office) Full-time, non-exempt

A chance to enhance the safety and efficiency of transplantation and transfusion has arisen within the dynamic ICCBBA team. We are seeking a Creative Services Coordinator to support our communication and marketing efforts aimed at promoting the importance and advantages of the ISBT 128 Standard.


ICCBBA manages, develops, and licenses the ISBT 128 Information Standard for Blood and Transplant.

ISBT 128 is the global standard for the terminology, identification, labeling, and information processing of medical products of human origin (e.g., blood, cell, tissue, organ, and human milk) across international borders and disparate health care systems. The standard has been designed and perfected over a period of almost two decades to ensure the highest levels of accuracy, safety, and efficiency for the benefit of donors, patients, and health care professionals around the world.


ICCBBA is a tax-exempt, nonprofit nongovernmental organization in official relations with the World Health Organization. ICCBBA's Board of Directors and members of its Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) are volunteers who give freely of their time and effort. ICCBBA is made up of diverse, talented, and passionate employees working together to achieve a common and rewarding goal: Globalize the ISBT 128 Standard.


Job Description:

To provide effective creative, technical and design support to the Global Development department and wider organization. To ensure that ICCBBA communications maintain the effective and professional image of ICCBBA.

Key Responsibilities:

Take the creative lead in the design, maintenance and distribution of promotional and other materials ensuring that a consistent corporate image is maintained. Such materials include but are not limited to congress flyers, reports, electronic newsletters, videos, guides, technical documents, award certificates, poster presentations, slide presentations and corporate stationery and letterhead.


All design, administration and maintenance tasks concerning the ICCBBA website. This includes responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of copy for spelling, grammar, and layout of content that goes on the website or on other channels in the public domain. Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes.


Support the design and development of video projects with an emphasis on providing technical expertise in preparation and editing content.


Coordinate and manage social media messaging and campaigns.

Support communications to users via email and other channels.

Conduct research and surveys, analyze the data and prepare reports.

Provide support for a large network of volunteers in terms of managing access to digital resources and basic administration tasks.

Support the coordination of meetings and events.


Quality Program

Work with other staff to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of an organization-wide Quality System. ICCBBA is certified for ISO 9001:2015.


Ensure all activities operate within such a system.

Participate in internal and surveillance audits for ISO 9001.

Maintain processes and procedures that correspond to the ICCBBA website and social media platforms.



Staff may be instructed to perform other tasks occasionally to support the wider team in achieving the organizational objectives.



Essential: High School diploma or GED

Desirable: Associate or bachelor's degree in graphic design, Marketing or related field.

5 years of experience in graphic design and project coordination.


Experience with:

  • Microsoft Word

  • Microsoft Excel

  • Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Adobe InDesign

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Video creation/editing – Adobe Pro


Proficient Experience with:

  • Microsoft Office – Teams and outlook

  • Adobe Creative

  • Web Design - WIX

  • Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)

  • HubSpot


  • Kaltura and Teams - Webinar

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Ability to follow administrative procedures and policies that meet professional standards.

  • Enjoys a challenge of unfamiliar assignments.

  • Able to work effectively with others.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for design.


A portfolio of previous design work should be shared with the hiring manager(s).

Pay Range: 62K-75K

It manages the ISBT 128 Information Standard for Medical Products of Human Origin (MPHO) and is a non-state actor in official relations with the World Health Organization. The organization is governed by an international volunteer Board of Directors and managed by an Executive Director located in Spain. ICCBAA is ISO 9001:2015 certified. 

The ISBT 128 Standard was developed in 1994 and is used in over 5,000 facilities worldwide. Originally developed for use in blood transfusion the standard now supports all MPHO. Development of the standard is achieved through a collaborative process involving a global network of volunteer subject matter experts.
